Lamont Christian School Annual 5K Run: Everyone is welcome to join in our annual fun run/walk through the village of Lamont on Saturday, April 20 at 8:00a.m. Registration forms are available at www.lamontcs.org/activities/riverrun.cfm. Early registration ends April 8. Not a runner – that’s ok! Be sure to stop by for the pancake breakfast!! Cost is by donation.
Unity Christian Celebration Banquet: Please join us on Monday, April 29 at Unity Christian High Schoolfor an evening of fellowship, celebration and praise for all that the Lord has done for Unity, through our faithful and supportive community! Following dinner, UC’s Bands, Choirs and Orchestra will be the featured entertainment at this year’s event. A variety show is planned that includes students performing excerpts from the fall musical Newsies, a drum cadence, and fun skits that show the “then and now” on how Unity has changed, through the generations.

A Celebration of the 400th Anniversary of the Synod of Dort: On Thursday, April 11, Dr. Cornel Venema of Mid-America Reformed Seminary will be speaking on “The Implications of the Canons of Dort for Preaching and Evangelism”. The celebration will be held at Bethany URC (5401 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wyoming MI.) at 7:00p.m. A freewill offering will be taken to support translation work of reformed materials for Word & Deed Ministries.
The RYS Midwest Junior High Retreat is scheduled to take place May 3-4 at Camp Geneva in Holland, MI. Students in grades six through eight are invited to attend, along with their adult leaders. Rev. Chad Steenwyk of Central Avenue CRC will speak on the topic “Fighting Temptation.” Cost will be $60.00 per person. Reformed Biblical Counseling: Please join us on Friday – Saturday, May 10-11 (2019), for the IRBC Marriage Retreat to be held at The Shack Lakeside Log Lodge & Country Inn, located in White Cloud, MI. Pastor Jeff Johnson is the speaker and will focus on the “Meaning of True Love in Marriage.” Cost varies from $190-240, depending on the room type (basic, lake-view, hot tub, etc.) reserved, but covers all lodging / meals / sessions / fun extras. Zion Christian School Sporting Clays Shoot at Caledonia Sportsman’s Club on Saturday, May 18, at 9:00a.m. Five-person teams will compete on a 50 round sporting clays course, with great prizes to the winning teams. A BBQ lunch will be included, as well as giveaways and a silent auction. Cost is $500.00 per five-person team. Registration forms are available at Zion, or contact Chuck Booth at email@example.com.
