Lord willing, Rev. Brian Najapfour will be leading a combined (men and women’s) Bible Study on Evangelism this fall. The subject of the first Bible Study will be: What is the Gospel? The time will be from 7-8:00p.m. on the following dates: September 5, 19, October 3, 31 and November 14, 28. Everyone is invited – and if you would like to invite any guests, please do.
Back to School Project for LOVE INC.
Time again for Back to School and LOVE, INC. needs our donations. They have an urgent need this year for: socks and underwear for kids K – 12. School supply donations should be: Backpacks or sports bags, calculators, post it notes, pens, pencils, 24 count crayons, glue sticks, notebooks, erasers, blunt scissors, pencil cases and colored pencils, Trapper keepers, 2-pocket folders, Lunch boxes, 3 ring binders, rulers, book covers, highlighters, and markers. Donations can be left on the table in the Fellowship Room until August 26.
Coopersville Cares: A local helping organization, will be holding its “Annual Benefit Sale” on Friday, August 17 (9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.) and Saturday, August 18 (9:00a.m. to Noon) at the Grace Lutheran Church – 300 E. Cleveland. Donations of good usable clothing, toys, furniture and household items will be accepted at the church on Tuesday (August 14) and Wednesday (August 15) from 9:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. (Please do not drop off prior to these dates or times). Thank you!
Attention All Sportsmen: The Calvinist Cadet Corp is hosting the 4th annual Sporting Clay Shoot to benefit the 2020 International Camporee in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (specifically for the riflery and archery ranges). This benefit will also help offset the overall cost for Cadets to attend the camporee. The event will be held on Saturday, August 25 at the Blendon Pines Gun Club in Zeeland, Michigan. Lamont & Eastmanville Tour of Homes – September 7 & 8 from 10:00a.m. – 5:00p.m. These 6 homes in Lamont & Eastmanville will speak to you about history, restoration, gardening, decorating, sculpturing, and more. Tickets (booklets with pictures/information are available at Coopersville Hardware; Broene’s Furniture and True Value in Allendale. Tickets are $10.00 prior to the event. You may write a check to Lamont Civic Assoc. Send it to P.O. Box 1, Lamont, MI 49430. Your prepaid ticket will be reserved for you at the Lamont Church in the village.
