Thank You! We are so thankful for a loving, caring church family. By the grace of God and your sustaining prayers, I was able to attend both the visitation and funeral of Bob. I’m doing a little better, but still have good days and bad days. Thank you for your thoughts, prayer, and cards. Also, thank you to Joyce Postma for the comforting music, thank you to the ladies for the lovely lunch you provided, thank you Pastor Jeph for your visits and the wonderful message at the funeral. Back to School Project for LOVE INC. Time again for Back to School and LOVE, INC. needs our donations. They are reporting they have an urgent need this year for: socks and underwear for kids K – 12. If you have already collected schools supplies they will certainly take them. School supply donations should be: Backpacks or sports bags, calculators, post it notes, pens, pencils, 24 count crayons, glue sticks, notebooks, erasers, blunt scissors, pencil cases and colored pencils, Trapper keepers, 2-pocket folders, Lunch boxes, 3 ring binders, rulers, book covers, highlighters, and markers. Donations can be left on the table in the Fellowship Room until August 26.

Attention All Sportsmen: The Calvinist Cadet Corp is hosting the 4th annual Sporting Clay Shoot to benefit the 2020 International Camporee in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (specifically for the riflery and archery ranges). This benefit will also help offset the overall cost for Cadets to attend the camporee. The event will be held on Saturday, August 25 at the Blendon Pines Gun Club in Zeeland, Michigan. The IRBC Basic Training Course in Biblical Counseling has been described as a sound, practical Bible study from a conservative Reformed perspective. You are encouraged to join us. Classes begin on Thursday, September 6, 2018. Registration deadline: September 1, 2018. Love INC Requests:
1. 5k Run for Love – October 20. Come out and run or walk in the 2nd annual 5k to support those needing help in our community. To register, either text Love5k to 71777 or visit the events tab at allendalelove.org.
2. Volunteer opportunity – looking for 1 or 2 people to serve as receptionist on Wednesday’s covering 9-3. Can be split up from 9-12 and 12-3.
3. Socks and Underwear for kids – we are hoping to add socks and underwear to the back to school program this year for k-12 grades. Donations can be left on the table in the Fellowship Room until August 26.
4. Mentors/Coaches/Teachers – as we have added more programs, we are looking for more people to assist working one-on-one with families or leading a class. Please contact Caleb at (616)648-4203 to learn more.
Coopersville Cares: A local helping organization, will be holding its “Annual Benefit Sale” on Friday, August 17 (9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.) and Saturday, August 18 (9:00a.m. to Noon) at the Grace Lutheran Church – 300 E. Cleveland. Donations of good usable clothing, toys, furniture and household items will be accepted at the church on Tuesday (August 14) and Wednesday (August 15) from 9:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. (Please do not drop off prior to these dates or times).
