Lord willing, we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper next week Sunday morning, December 9.
Sunday morning, December 16 immediately following the morning service, will be the Christmas program with both the adult and the children’s choir. The Fellowship Dinner will be after the program. All are welcome.
Widows and Widowers take a Poinsettia home with you today, to enjoy during this Christmas Season.
The Fellowship Committee is asking that we as a congregation remember our widows, widowers, the service persons, and Janice Bouwkamp this Christmas season with a Christmas card.The Christmas bags with the names on them are located in the back of the Fellowship Hall. Please place your cards in the bags before the morning service on Sunday, December 16. The bags may be picked up following the service. Thank you.

Lord willing, RYS will hold its annual LOGOS Winter Retreat January 3-5, 2019 at the Cedar Lake Retreat Center in Cedar Lake, IN. We’re excited about having Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary student Ottavio Palombaro speak on the theme of “Seek Peace, Holiness and the Lord.” Cost is $220.00 (U.S.). Regular registration deadline is December 13. Single young adults ages 18-30 attending college or working are highly encouraged to register at reformedyouthservices.org.
Cornerstone URC’s High School Youth Group will be hosting a Hymn Sing on Sunday, December 9, and your High School Youth Group is invited! You are welcome to attend Cornerstone’s evening worship service at 5:30p.m. or come after your own service. We plan to fellowship and eat supper around 7:00 p.m. and end the evening with singing around 8:45 p.m. Please contact Kari Alsum at (616)662-2697 if your youth group plans to attend. Zion Christian School will present its annual Christmas Music Programs at First Byron CRC. The band concert will be on December 6. The choir concert – featuring elementary, junior high, and high school choirs will be on December 7. Both programs begin at 7:00p.m. Please join us for a wonderful evening as we celebrate our Savior’s birth!
