Reformed Youth Services: A Faith & Fellowship Night for high school age students will be held February 20 at Cornerstone URC in Hudsonville, MI. After viewing “The Case for Christ,” we will enjoy pizza, games and fellowship. Cost is $5 person. Cornerstone URC announces its 24th Annual Women’s Conference entitled “Contrary to Popular Opinion: Personal Holiness, Psalm 16” to be held on Friday-Saturday, March 13 and 14, with main speaker, Julie Murphy. The cost is $35.00 per person and includes refreshments on Friday evening and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Early registrations post-marked by March 1, qualify for a reduced rate of $25.00. “Clothed With Strength & Beauty” is a one-day conference just for moms and their high school/college age daughters. It will be held on Saturday, February 29, 9:00a.m. – 2:30p.m., at Bethel URC in Jenison. Our speakers are Tonya Delnay (from the Pregnancy Resource Center), and Lisa VanderVeen, a certified Christian Image Consultant, who will teach us about positive self-image, inner beauty, style & fashion trends, and helping each girl dress for her body type. Teens and Screens: How Much is Too Much? Unity Christian High School invites our community to join us on Wednesday, February 26, at 7:00p.m. for a presentation and conversation about digital technology. Using reliable, recent, and relevant research, we will explore the impact technology – especially cell phones – has on young minds and lives. Emphasis will be given to the developmental impact social media has on students. Call the school office (669-1820) with any questions.
Unity Christian High School is presenting the play “Get Smart”. Performances are March 5 and 6 at 7:00p.m. and March 7 at 5:00p.m. in the Hudsonville Public School Auditorium on Allen Street. You are invited to attend an upcoming lecture sponsored by IRBC on “Digital Technology Addiction” by Mr. Jon VanOverloop on Tuesday, March 3, from 8:00-9:00pm at Cornerstone United Reformed Church (6442 – 36th Avenue, Hudsonville). His lecture, which utilizes current reliable research, shows how the brains of our youth are being negatively affected, especially by cell phones.
