The LOGOS 2019 Young Adults Conference is scheduled for August 7-10 at Potter’s Ranch located in Union Kentucky, D.V. Our keynote speaker will be Rev. Tim Scheuers, who serves the First URC in Chino, CA. His theme will be “Inerrant or Not?” Cost will be $290 per person for the program only, with the day away option being the nearby Ark Encounter for a discounted additional fee (for only $30!). Online registration is now open at reformedyouthservices.org. The LOGOS conference is open to adult singles ages 18-30 in college or working. Registration closes on July 15.
Unity Christian High School is seeking an individual to manage our food court. Primary hours for this position are from 9:00am – 2:00pm daily, while school is in session. Experience is desired but not necessary. Reformed Biblical Counseling: Are you interested in receiving training that will enable you to more effectively counsel family members, friends, work associates, and others as they wrestle with problems in their lives? Organ Concert: All are invited to come and hear Shannon Murphy in concert at the organ on Friday, July 12, 7:00p.m., at Dutton United Reformed Church (6950 Hanna Lake Ave., SE, Caledonia, MI). Shannon is the daughter of Rev. Paul (former pastor of Dutton) and Julie Murphy. She recently graduated with her Master’s Degree in Organ Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, with her undergraduate studies at Westminster Choir College of Rider University, where she earned her B.M. in piano. She has founded the Murphy Piano Studio, where she teaches private piano and organ lessons. In addition to her teaching activities, she is Director of Music and Organist at First Presbyterian Church of Rutherford. She is also a conductor and recently conducted performances with the American Modern Ensemble and MSM Lab Chorus, as well as Assistant Director of the New York City Children’s Chorus. She, along with other MSM students, appeared at St. Paul’s Chapel, Trinity, Wall Street, the Oregon Bach Festival, and the Longwood Organ Academy. Other recent appearances include solo performances at St. Ignatius Loyola Church and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Please join us at the close of the program to meet Shannon and enjoy refreshments. Shannon will be holding an Organ Workshop on Saturday, July 13, 2:00p.m., at DURC as well.
