Reformed Biblical Counseling Center: You are invited to join the IRBC Counseling Class on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, from 7:00-9:00p.m. at Cornerstone United Reformed Church (6442 – 36th Avenue, Hudsonville, MI) as they meet to listen to a lecture on Substance Abuse by Professor Jeff Johnson. This lecture provides a balanced approach to substance abuse from Scripture, including a look at the heart of the problem, God-centered sorrow for sin, temptation, and practical applications for those struggling with this problem. Please RSVP your attendance to the event to email@example.com, so that enough supplemental materials can be made for the event. A free will offering will be taken to cover expenses and support the ministry of IRBC. Registration deadline: October 14 (noon).
Protect Young Eyes: Zion Christian School will host a presentation from Protect Young Eyes on Monday, October 7, in the school’s gym. Protect Young Eyes is an organization that works to give parents and students the information and tools they need to use technology in a healthy and safe way. The presentation begins at 6:30p.m. and is FREE and open to the entire community.
Please join Zion Christian School at its Annual Fall Auction. It will be held at the school on Saturday, October 26. Doors open at 4:30p.m. and the live auction starts at 6:00p.m. This is sure to be a fun-filled evening, complete with a delicious dinner and many great items to bid on, including tickets to the U of M/Michigan State football game on 11/16/19. This is an adults-only event. If you would like to donate an item for the auction, please bring it to school as soon as possible. Baked goods, to be auctioned off on the baked goods table, can be brought to school on the day of the auction from 12:00-4:30p.m. We hope to see you there!
Not Forsaken: You are invited to a free conference, Wednesday, October 30, at Bethel URC (8360 Cottonwood Drive, Jenison). Beginning at 7:00p.m., author Jennifer Greenberg will give a talk taken from her book, “Not Forsaken: A Story of Life After Abuse”. She’ll share how her faith in Christ brought her through the darkest of situations and the gospel enables survivors of all walks to navigate issues of guilt, forgiveness, love, and value.
