MISSION EMPHASIS WEEK:
We Welcome Rev. Zechariah Schiebout to lead our services in recognition of our annual Missions Emphasis Week. Immediately following the morning service we will have a Meet and Greet Fellowship Meal with Rev. Zechariah Schiebout Please join the Fellowship Committee in welcoming Rev. Schiebout and enjoying a time of food and fellowship. Everyone is welcome. May God bless His church and may we be encouraged in the enduring work of the Church here on earth.
Mission Emphasis Potluck Dinner 6:30p.m. Wednesday, October 11. Please bring a casserole or a salad to share and your own table service. Beverages, rolls and dessert will be provided. (Our church family widowers and widows do not need to bring a dish to pass – the only thing requested is your presence for the evening.) Todd Krygsheld, Chaplain at Holland Rescue Mission, will give a presentation following the meal. In support of them we will be collecting personal items for the Holland Rescue Mission. Donations can be left on the table in the Fellowship Room or brought the night of the dinner.
We extend our Christian sympathy to the Besteman family, as they mourn the passing of their father and grandfather, Rev. Besteman.
The Allendale Christian School Annual Foundation Dinner will be held on Monday, October 9 at Second Church. The theme this year is “Honoring the Past to Preserve the Future”. Punch bowl will begin at 6:00p.m. followed by Dinner at 6:30p.m. The entertainment for the evening will be Dueling Pianos. Unity Christian has head coaching vacancies in co-ed bowling and in varsity softball. We are searching for someone that has a passion for the Lord, enjoys working with high school students, and can successfully lead a high school bowling or softball program. Zion Christian School: Please join Zion Christian School at its Annual Auction. It will be held at the school on Saturday, October 14. Doors open at 4:30p.m. and the live auction starts at 6:00p.m. This is sure to be a fun-filled evening, complete with a delicious dinner catered by Chick-Fil-A and many great items to bid on. This is an adults-only event. If you would like to donate an item for the auction, please bring it to school as soon as possible. Baked goods, to be auctioned off on the baked goods table, can be brought to school on the day of the auction from 12:00-4:30p.m. We hope to see you there!

The Revive Resale Store is seeking a new part-time assistant manager. This position requires approximately 20 hours a week (daytime hours and every 5th Saturday; no evenings or holidays). Revive is in need of cashiers! Revive needs cashiers for 2 hour shifts on a weekly and a monthly basis as well as on-call cashier subs. We will work with any time commitment you are able to give! Revive welcomes high school age volunteers and older for this position. Reformed Biblical Counseling Center: Professor Jeff Johnson will be delivering a lecture on the image of God to the IRBC counseling class this week Thursday evening, October 12 at 7:00p.m. at the Cornerstone United Reformed Church located at 6442 – 36th Ave., Hudsonville, Michigan. After his lecture, Dr. Jeff Doll will speak about the ministry of IRBC including its mission and vision. All are welcome and there is no cost to attend this event.
