2nd Annual Kristina Moelker 5K Race/Walk Please join the ACS community in our second 5K race/walk event on Tuesday, May 14 at Allendale Public High School at 6:30p.m. Racers may pick up their race packets on Monday, May 13 from 3:30-4:00p.m. or beginning at 5:30p.m. the evening of the race. All ages are welcome to run, jog or walk. Late registration after April 19 is $15; however, we cannot guarantee t-shirts to those registering late. Scrap Metal Drive 2019 – May 3 & 4: Unity Christian will once again hold a Scrap Metal Drive to raise funds for the Education Foundations of Hudsonville Christian and UCHS. The drive will be held at 5790 Balsam Dr. in Hudsonville (across from Hudsonville Lanes) from Noon – 8:00p.m. on Friday, and 8:00a.m. – 2:00p.m. on Saturday. The RYS Midwest Junior High Retreat is scheduled to take place May 3-4 at Camp Geneva in Holland, MI. Students in grades six through eight are invited to attend, along with their adult leaders. Rev. Chad Steenwyk of Central Avenue CRC will speak on the topic “Fighting Temptation.” Cost will be $60.00 per person. Zion Christian School’s Annual Spring Dinner will take place on Tuesday, April 30. Join us as we celebrate Zion Christian School and the faithfulness of our Lord! We are excited to welcome Rev. Doug Barnes, the pastor at Covenant Reformed Church in Pella, IA, as our special guest and speaker. Come and enjoy an evening of great food and Christian fellowship. Additionally, this is a fund-raising event, so you will have an opportunity to make a gift supporting the work and ministry of ZCS. The Dinner will be held at the Postma Center at Pine Rest, with punchbowl beginning at 6:00p.m. and dinner served at 6:30p.m. Reserve your seat by calling the school office at (616)878-9472 ext. 110 by Monday, April 22.
Zion Christian School Sporting Clays Shoot at Caledonia Sportsman’s Club on Saturday, May 18, at 9:00a.m. Five-person teams will compete on a 50 round sporting clays course, with great prizes to the winning teams. A BBQ lunch will be included, as well as giveaways and a silent auction. Cost is $500.00 per five-person team. Registration forms are available at Zion, or contact Chuck Booth at email@example.com.
